The growth of social media services such as Facebook, Twitter a,nd Reddit; has fundamentally changed the way we share content on the internet. Before social media exploded, it was more common for people to share content by email, or by sharing websites and pages they like on their blogroll.
The most common way of doing this is to prominently display social media follow buttons on your blog header or sidebar. This makes it clear to visitors that they can stay in contact with you and your blog through those services.
Another good technique is to include a call to action in your content to subscribe. For example, at the end of a blog post you could tell readers to follow you on Facebook to get updates on your latest articles. Large follow banners and widgets, such as the Facebook-like box, also convert well.
